Michelle Lopez Clark has been practicing psychotherapy since 2017. Her deep curiosity about human behavior and relationships—how we come to know ourselves and connect with others—led her to pursue a career in mental health. Through her own journey of self-development, Michelle found affirmation in her calling to become a therapist and to share what she considers a lifelong gift: the healing and transformative impact of therapy.
As a therapist, Michelle provides culturally responsive psychotherapy and holds a safe, empathetic space for her clients. She supports the process of bringing the unconscious into awareness, where healing, integration, and growth can take place. Michelle’s bicultural experience allows her to attune with sensitivity and insight to the nuances of cultural identity and intergenerational dynamics. Her clinical approach is depth-oriented, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and humanistic, often integrating inner child work. She draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities to tailor her work to each client’s unique needs, guided by a deep commitment to helping individuals and couples explore the parts of themselves that long for change, connection, and inner peace.
In addition to psychotherapy, Michelle offers individual clinical consultation to licensed therapists working with adults and couples. Grounded in psychodynamic theory, attachment frameworks, and cultural humility, her approach is relational and attuned to the complexities of clinical work. She creates a reflective space to explore countertransference, deepen clinical formulation, and enhance therapeutic attunement. With a collaborative style, Michelle supports clinicians in navigating stuck points, refining insight and judgment, and managing challenging dynamics with clarity, confidence, and alignment with their professional values.
Alongside her psychotherapy practice, Michelle is a Bringing Baby Home Educator trained by The Gottman Institute, the author of the children’s book WITH YOU, and occasionally serves as an adjunct professor in a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program.
