Who Michelle supports…

I work with adults and couples who are seeking deeper self-understanding, more fulfilling relationships, and meaningful emotional growth. I’m especially passionate about supporting professionals, first- and second-generation individuals, and those navigating bicultural or multicultural identities, as well as clients exploring how early relational experiences continue to shape their present lives. I also work closely with survivors of narcissistic and emotional abuse, supporting them in rebuilding a sense of self, trust, and clarity in their relationships.

I help clients navigate concerns such as:

  • Relationship and attachment patterns

  • Emotional disconnection or difficulty expressing needs

  • Effects of early relational wounds, narcissistic or emotional abuse, and complex family dynamics

  • Identity development, cultural identity, and intergenerational experiences

  • Life transitions, stress, and a desire for deeper clarity or purpose

Clients who tend to feel especially supported in working with me are those who are curious, reflective, and open to exploring patterns beneath the surface—couples and individuals who want to move beyond coping and into deeper, lasting change.

What it’s like to work with Michelle…

I bring a steady, thoughtful presence to our work together. My style is attuned and collaborative. I approach therapy with genuine curiosity, creating space for you to slow down, reflect, and feel more deeply understood.

In our sessions, you can expect a balance of open exploration, gentle guidance, and honest reflection. I listen closely, ask meaningful and at times direct questions, and invite you to step beyond familiar patterns in ways that encourage curiosity and deeper self-awareness. I help bring attention to patterns that may be outside of conscious awareness, while remaining intentional about pacing and responsive to what feels most supportive for you.

I work to create safety and trust by being consistent, nonjudgmental, and deeply respectful of your experience. You’ll be met with empathy while also being supported in exploring areas that may feel uncomfortable, yet important for growth.

My work is guided by authenticity, cultural humility, relational depth, and respect for your unique process.

Michelle’s therapeutic approach and training…

My approach is depth-oriented, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and humanistic. I often integrate:

  • Psychodynamic and insight-oriented therapy

  • Attachment-based frameworks

  • Inner child work

  • Relational and culturally responsive perspectives

These approaches support you in understanding the “why” behind your patterns, not just managing symptoms. Through increased awareness and insight, therapy can lead to deeper healing, more intentional choices, and more fulfilling relationships.

More about Michelle…

I bring both clinical and relational depth to my work, shaped by years of experience supporting adults and couples. As someone with a bicultural background, I hold a nuanced understanding of how culture, family systems, and early environments influence identity and emotional life.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Bringing Baby Home Educator through The Gottman Institute. My work is also informed by my experience teaching in a graduate-level training program. In addition to my clinical work, I am the author of the children’s book WITH YOU. Across these roles, I remain committed to thoughtful, ethical, and culturally responsive care.

On a personal note…

I care for my own wellbeing through intentional reflection, ongoing learning, and maintaining meaningful connections in my personal life. I value creating space to slow down and recharge, which allows me to show up with presence and care in my work.
