Open Position:
California Registered Associate Therapist
Narra Psychotherapy is a telehealth, private pay group practice looking for a California Registered Associate Therapist (APCC/AMFT). This is a part-time, remote position. The Associate Therapist will be supervised by Brandy Macy, Psy.D.
The ideal Associate Therapist is clinically experienced as a registered associate therapist and has completed at lease 800 client-facing psychotherapy hours after completion of a master’s degree, and demonstrates a strong commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. They value collaboration, are eager to be part of a supportive team environment, are open to receiving guidance, and actively utilize supervision and consultation for ongoing growth and support. They maintain clear and healthy boundaries between their professional and personal life and are comfortable participating in marketing and outreach efforts, representing Narra Psychotherapy in a professional manner.
*This is a part-time position and we welcome candidates who maintain other employment that is NOT with another private practice in order to avoid conflicts of interest.
Minimum Requirements for Application
California resident
Master’s degree in a mental health-related field
Active California registration as an APCC or AMFT in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (“BBS”)
Completed at least 800 client-facing psychotherapy hours after completion of master’s degree
Reliable access to a computer, high-speed internet, and quality audio/visual equipment
Ability to provide services from a private, secure location suitable for telehealth
Prior experience delivering telehealth services with demonstrated client satisfaction
Ability to sustain a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 22 client-facing psychotherapy hours per week
Experience and interest in depth-oriented and trauma-informed modalities
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Self-motivated and dependable
Demonstrated commitment to cultural humility, inclusivity, and collaborative work
Openness to professional development and willingness to receive and apply feedback
Duties and Expectations
Maintain a caseload of at least 15 client-facing psychotherapy hours per week
Conduct clinical assessments and fulfill mandatory reporting obligations as required by law
Coordinate care with other treatment providers when clinically appropriate
Complete progress notes within twenty-four (24) hours of each session
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with practice standards and compliance requirements
Communicate promptly and professionally with clients, prospective clients, and team members within the group practice
Participate in ongoing professional development and incorporate feedback into clinical work
Adhere to all applicable ethical guidelines and legal standards of the mental health profession
Maintain open and consistent communication with both the Supervisor and the Clinical Director
Commit to being an active member of the team and growing together with the practice
Attend weekly supervision
Attend required team meetings
Contribute to practice growth through marketing and outreach efforts
