A smiling woman with long dark brown hair and light skin, wearing a black and white floral patterned blouse. She has a neutral background.

Dr. Macy collaborates with Narra Psychotherapy as an independent supervisor, supporting the growth and clinical skill development of our associate therapists within the practice by providing clinical supervision. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working across a range of settings, including community mental health, hospitals, correctional facilities, educational institutions, and private practice. She has provided therapy to individuals, families, and groups; conducted psychological assessments; and worked extensively with neurodivergent individuals and their families. Alongside her clinical work, she has supervised pre-licensed professionals across multiple disciplines and served as Program Chair of a graduate MFT program.

As a supervisor, Dr. Macy draws from systemic, behavior analytic, and developmental theories. She understands behavior as shaped by learning history and context, and believes supervision is not just about teaching skills, but about helping clinicians explore how they think, relate, and grow. She brings a functional lens to her work with supervisees, focusing on what’s working well, what’s proving challenging, and what supports the development of confident, ethical, and effective therapists.

Dr. Macy aligns with integrative and developmental models of supervision and adapts her approach to meet each supervisee’s needs, experience level, and goals. Her style is collaborative, curious, and grounded in respect for each trainee’s unique path.

As a multiracial individual, Dr. Macy is attuned to the complexities of identity and power and brings this awareness into her supervisory relationships. She is committed to fostering a supportive environment where supervisees can show up fully and grow professionally. Her values of humility, integrity, and mutual respect guide every aspect of her work.
